Ok was having a problem with my car overheating and water coming out the exhaust. So was told to tear it down and check head , gaskets all the stuff that could be wrong. Pulled the right head today all the bolts in the valve tran came out with clean threads except the one between the third and fouth piston. The threads had looked to have buit up burnt oil and smelled like gas. The bolts on the on the lower the fisrt 2 had water coming out the bolt holes and the others where fine. I am a newbie when comes to tear down a engine and ford engines. I know when one is blown but I still had good oil pressure. Should I just invest in a new block. Thanks for the help.

water coming out of the lower bolt hole is normal, The lower bolts bolt into the water ports. Just make shure when you re-install that you put some sealer on the threads.

just clean her all up and re-install heads with felpro graphite heads gaskets part number #1152. 25$ each.

how did the lower intake gasket look, it too could have been the source of the problem.

P.S. when intalling the intake bolts never torque higher than 18ft. lbs. If you go higher they can work against the head bolt, causing future head gasket failure.
