Ive been doing some datalogging recently and i notice that my kampfr value never changes from 1.000. ive selected this value to datalog in calcon and it never changes. im happy with my afr`s in closed loop and wot. i have it set to run rich above .5 load and 3000 rpm`s due to n2O use. Am i doing something wrong here? also i used EA to analyze my pw`s and breakpoint. i cannot change my injector breakpoint in caledit for the life of me. every time i enter the value given by EA ,caledit scalar changes it to a completely different value. Can some one explain to me how to change the Inj. breakpoint in the caledit scalar tab??
Thanks everyone and happy thanksgiving

And another question i have is when i run my datalog thru EA for calculating the injector slopes for 24 # injectors it says i should put 25.79 as my high slope and 42.90 as my low slope with a injector breakpoint of 4.43 e-5. Does this sound correct to any of you??I have an AFR or 11.4 above 3000 rpms and .05 load due to N2O use. The strategy im using is cbaza w/ a j4ji tune that has been slightly modded for n2o use. I would sure apprieciate some help on answering my 2 posts folks. Im running out of Datalogging time up here in cold NJ

Thanks
Biglar

A thought or two for you Sir

I suspect you may be a victim of tuning things in an order that is not
the most optimum.

I'd do Closed Loop tuning before any WOT tuning :Word:

I've had the best luck starting off with loading in the maf curve first

Then .. work with inj parameters ... which is CL only
until
You see the K's stabilize and hang pretty close to the 1.00 line

btw ... don't forget to load in the inj offsets for those 24's

This can take time and try your patience

Then ... move to WOT (Open Loop) tuning working with ...
1) Your wide band
2) Your upper end of the maf curve ... making sure you don't change any part
of the curve that is normally used in CL
thus
Hosing up your previous CL tuning efforts
3) Your OL fuel table

Since you say you don't see the K's move from 1.00 ... I suspect you are not
going into CL.

Since EA is calling for slope values that high ...
You gotta be running a bit fat.

The order in which you tune .......
If you tune some things before others ........
Its quite possible to make double work for yourself

You can find several threads on the order of tuning at eectuning.org

Hi grady thanks for the response!! the datalog shows that im in CL under 3000 rpms and most of the datalog is in CL but those Kamfr`s never moved from 1.000. To adjust the injector offset is it under the functions tab named "injector offset vs battery voltage? i have the j4j1 numbers loaded there.
anyway i know its running fat due to N2O use. i have my spark retarded back in the base spark table only, to 26 degrees from 3000 rpm on and at 0.4 load and the Fuel table- Stabilized open loop is 11.44 from 2000 rpms and @ 0.5 load. maybe im playing it to safe for the N2O?? i havent datalogged with the n2o as of yet as im trying to establish a N/a tune first where the cl and ol is stable. Thats why i dont know why those kamfr values never change? I loaded in the maf curve for my 90m mm lighting maf and reentered the maf numbers after EA analyzed it . It wasnt that much different. As of now the car has never felt faster and im happy w/ my WB readings at WOT which is where ill be w/ n2O. They are between 11.2 and 11.6 so i feel that is good. You know i dont really drive this car on the streets and with the way NJ changed the collector car registration laws here in Nj this 95 stang will be strictly for the track soon. The only reason im datalogging now is to get a grasp of tweecer and its functions so when i do my 331 this spring i will know how to start it up without messing it up. I sure do love this EFI tuning as all my buddies just hate it. Well i guess those carb companys just need to have those guys tinker w/ their carbs. its not for me its too much of a guessing game and even reading sparkplugs seems to be a dark science depending who you talk to. Well grady again thanks for the reply and if you have any suggestions on this TRACK only N2O 95 EFI mustang well im all ears

Maybe Wes and other members who use the latest software will offer more input but if you never see your K's move from 1.00 ... it usually means the pcm is not going into CL.

The rpm really has not as much of a bearing on this as the amount of load.

If you wanna have a dlog of mostly CL driving conditions .........

You should be driving around like you got an egg between your shoe and the pedal.

You should not be going farther than about 1/4 to 1/3 pedal.

The idea is... really light load = Closed Loop conditions

Since you have so much to say about all those other things .....
You may have inadvertently changed something that is preventing the
ability to go into CL

Datalog your HEGO and LAMBSE, are they dancing around in unison?

What is the new breakpoint that you are trying to enter?
