Need tire size advice!!!!!!!!!!

Guys im going to be buying some saleen rims in the next few weeks... im undecided yet as to what size rims i want to get.. its either the 18x9 all around or decide to go with the 18x10's in the rear.. I can geta great price on the 245/40/18 so im going to go with them for the fronts but defiantly wann go wider in the rears but what is the widest i can get on the 9" rim????? i was hoping to go either with a 275 or a 295.... if i can hear anybody ideas please let me know ASAP

Sorry to kinda go off topic, but i was wondering if i should run 255/45/17 on Stock 17x8 Bullitt rims or run 255/40/17 to keep the speedo right?

I'm picking up my 18x9's in a few days and having 245/40/18 mounted in front, and 275/35/18 mounted in back. That keeps the stock diameter all around. Since the speedo is in the back you can go a little shorter in the front like 265/35/18 if you don't want the 245/40's.. I would DEFINATELY go 275/35 for the rear tho

I would go with at least 265/35's up front and 285/35's in the rear. 245/40's give no protection for your wheels. I would pay the extra money for the 265's. I have 245/40's and hate them.

275/40/18 would effect your speedometer. Its a larger diameter than stock. People forget that the middle number is a percentange of the first number in tire sizes. A 285/35/18 is a slightly taller tire than a 275/35/18. Ideally i'd go with 265/35/18 up front (since you can go a little smaller since speedo calibration is in back, but for the cost right now and being a college student, i'm going 245/40/18 up front. again 275/35/18 would look perfect. Installed out the door cost at our local America's Tire Company, the 275/35/18's go for 195 each, and the 245/40/18's go for 155 each for the Kumho 712's.

first or the third.. 295/30/18 is pretty rare and expensive.. I've seen 295/35/18 on a fake saleen and its rubbing hardcore.. his sidewalls are torn up.
