Need to adjust timing

I just changed the intake on my 91 notch. i put on the cobra upper and lower and removed the distributor when i didit. What should the timing be set at now. the car has stock injectors,70 mm maf,70mm tb and cai. Ive been told 12-14, does that sound right.

Yup - hook the light up, let it come to a warm idle; pull the spout, set the timing with the spout out at 14-16 BTDC, and then plug the spout back in. If you get any detonation, back it down a couple of degrees (12-14 BTDC).
