Neutral safety switch(the one on the trans not clutch pedal)

I know theres a ton of threads about this but I searched and didn't find the answer i'm looking for. I'm doin the aod to t-5 swap and am wondering how I am going to get the reverse lights to work but bypass the switch that is used on the aod but not the t-5. I don't need help with the one on the clutch pedal. I have that bypassed. So I was also wondering if I can make it start only in neutral without the switch on the clutch pedal so ther are no accidents.

Swap the harness that runs from the driver side kick panel to the trans tunnel. Easy swap, even can use one from a 4 cyl car.. Have to remove driver seat and lift carpet to get to..

Are you asking if there is a way to start the car only in neutral without having to press the clutch down?

The neutral safety switch on the 5 speed trans has nothing to do with the starter circuit. It is to make sure that the trans is in neutral when the engine running codes are dumped.
