Ok, some of you might remember when I said about ordering the 03/04 Cobra hood a good while back, and them not sending it. They didnt even let me know it was on back order, so I ordered the same hood only in fiberglass, almost $100 cheaper. It was around $350 i think. Anyway, I get the hood back, and looking across it, its like looking across a wavepool. Body shop said he can fix it, so, no biggy I guess. He calls me last night and tells me that with the hood lined up the hinge plate in the front is 1/2" to one side, and it will not fit. By this time I am furious, because the car was supposed to come home, TOMOROW! Now it cant because of this. Companies that make cheap **** like this piss me off. Ok, I'm done ranting and raving about it. Anyone else have similar experiences?? Oh btw I e-mailed them telling them the whole story and that I want a new plate for the latch.

Are you sure your old hood hinges aren't bent from the wreck? Also their is adjustment in your hood latch. You can move the latch over and up and down I believe. Adjust it so it latches good and so the hood bumpers are compressed alittle. You replaced your radiator support didnt you?
As far as the hood being unsmooth, I think most fiberglass hoods come that way. It will look smooth after you have a body shop prep it. My friend just got an '03 cobra hood from Cervinis and it also has an unsmooth finish. Mustang Unlimited doesn't suck...........except for their website.

First, technology is great, but why are don't you call and speak with them. Granted, I buy mostly vintage stuff from them, and they have always been pretty easy to deal with when parts are wrong.

All that being said, they do not make the hood, they buy from supplier A or B. It is possible they do not know there even is a problem. Call them and see what they say. A couple extra days is really nothing to get worked up about, especially if the end result, you get exactly what you wanted.
