Check out the turbo setup on this car. I've never seen anything like that and just thought it was kinda odd. Anyone have any thoughts or imformation to why the intake is backwards?

Other than the intake on backwards it seems like a normal diy/junkyard TT kit.

You can tell he had to put it backward because the turbo position on the passenger side would have hit the intake is my guess anyway

I'm not interested in the car at all. Can someone explain how the intake is reverseable? I mean, without some good fabrication, there is only one way to put on an intake. How is this intake setup possible?

lincoln towncars and similiar models had the intake facing this way, all you would have to do is grab a lower from one of those cars and then flip your upper. Or just get the upper and lower from a linc. and tada reversed intake.

The GT-40 in the 93-95 Lightnings came from the factory that way. I have to keep in mind which one I am working on though, the L or the Mustang!

With 42lb injectors I would think those are small, low boost turbos, no?

you don't even need to do that, you can just flip the upper and use your existing lower. the intake is symmetrical.

its really not that bad. put some interior back in it and clean up the wires a bit that car would be sweet, the body is in real good shape too.

How so? Really, all it needs is some re-routing of some of the wiring and a bit of clean up on the welds. Add some downpipe wrap and perhaps some turbo blankets and it would probably look great.

No, 42lb injectors are capable of supporting upwards of 500rwhp on turbo setups. That's not to say all combo's are the same...and some people seem to run out of fuel earlier than others.

anyone who would pay 5000 for that is high off their ass. The underhood is disgusting, there black char marks everywhere from either a fire or huge exhaust leak. I dunno. The interior is gutted, the body is okay, it needs to be painted. The wheels are ugly. Shall i go on, without the turbo's this is a 2000 car at best. I mean c'mon seriously people anytime somebody slaps twins a car everybody is like aw man holy cow, wow, cool awesome just because it has turbos. The cars is a piece, and needs too much work for 5000. So lets get off the Hey its not bad at all b.s. because you gotta be out of your mind to pay for what seems like a totally stock 85 with two turbos slapped on it.

It may be a bit high, but really it's not that far off base. Sure, it's not the cleanest car around, but if you look at some of the upgrades he has you'll see it's far from being a "totally stock 85".

Correct. I've even seen setups running 42s aproaching 600rwhp.

No, the car isn't a show car. But it probably screws and it's one hell of a sleeper.
