Hello all fellow 2.3 lovers. I just recently saw this ad in Advance Auto Parts (PDQ) for a universal Cold Air Intake. I just replaced my home built CAI with this one a few days ago and it works great!!! It's quite simple to install and looks and sounds better than the PVC one I made. (mmmm--shiney!!!)
All the parts needed are in the kit and you don't even have to cut, drill or modify any of them. You'll need to use a few of the old intake pieces and I did mine in an hour. You will also have to either buy a sensor adapter (not included) for the IAT or do as I did on the first one and buy a chip (resistor) and bypass the IAT altogether. For those that don't have an Advance auto around their area, you might be able to do a web order. It's made by APC so you might even find it on their website??? The part number is 151600. I'd also be willing to buy and ship to you if need be. I'll add a picture or two as soon as my camera dries out.
