From what it says on mustangworld, i guess there will be three uppers available for the same base, idle-5500, 1500-6500, and a box style for higher rpms.

Interesting....I saw a couple pics of the lower in the Mustang mags but this is the first I have seen the upper. It looks differrent, I wonder how it'll flow. Notice how tall the intake is...wonder if it will fit under the stock hood? Also, the mags said it would come w/new fuel rails as the factory ones would not fit....this pic looks like the car has the factory rails. hmmm...

I don't know, it looks like the air has to make some pretty tight turns to get to some of the cylinders, but the dyno will tell all.

At least there is another choice and I would feel much better about buying one of these instead of a chinese edelbrock copy.

Doesnt look like the corners are much tighter than any other intake. They just look more drastic cuz the middle of it is more open.
Look at the path that the air must travel to get from the throttle body to the runner closest to the throttle body. That path is shaped like a Z. Unless they really did their homework and made some weird port in the center plenum, it looks like that runner will get less air than the others.

Almost every intake has issues like this, I just wonder if they have adressed it.

Oh, yeah. I thought you were referring to the actual donward angle from the plenum to the lower intake. But yeah, that 'Z' does seem kinda awkward. Then again, I know sometimes the laws of physics in cases like these actually improve performance even though they seem like they shouldnt. I doubt that made this just to look cool, know what I mean??

Looks like a very different design to get all the air into the runners. I don't have a good enough understanging of thermodynamics to tell how well its going to work, but I'd be real interested to see some dyno results. Its always good to see a new and interesting product.

BTW - I know it would require a huge cowl hood, but wouldn't an intake with a similar design that was fed from the top instead of the side make some huge power, just a thought.....

Kinda reminds me of that Roush Stage 3 intake.

Maybe you can try to modify one of those EFI Spyder intakes to fit on top of that :D
