Hey guys.. I used to post alot in the fox body forums.. i had an 87 vortech blown 306 a couple years back..... I just bought a 95 GT yesterdayyy..

I love it! asides from the fact that im used to my old car and my brothers 010 SS power, this car feels slowwww!!.. Owell... just another project to start...

Sorry i dont have many pics.. i took 2 when i bought it and i will take more when the weather clears..

i bought it with the only issue i was told is that it needed a tranny... I put a tranny in it and now im seeing other minor issues as hell....

-Claimed to do the rear clutches n 373s this past summer... it WHINES very louddd and annoying... he said its just the richmond gears... i dont know if i buy that and maybe their not installed properly..

-pings under load...... when the weather clears, im gonna go out there n get a timing light on it and see.....

otherwise no real problems..

its a 95 GT (131k miles)
BBK longtubes O/rX flows
TFS R Intake and 32lb injectors chipped for the mods it has
373.... 18 inch cobra rs 4 inch cowl
i paid 3750 for the car..

There are a few questions i asked myself when i bought it.... why the need for those injectors when it barely has any mods.. and whyyy would he go for the biggest manifold trick flow makes with stock heads n a cam?? oh well...

asides from the ping it runs prettyyyy richhh.. im not gonna get on it yet until i track down this pinggg...

ill post more pics when the weather clears up tho..

thanks
joe

Looks sharp, but I dont know how it could ping with those huge injectors on a somewhat stock engine. Im sure you will figure it out once you bolt on parts that match. Good luck.

put a new harmonic balancer on it before you worry about the timing light , these cars are notorious for the balancers slipping and that throws off the timing marks ....if you have a piston stop you can check it by getting the number 1 cylinder all the way up and checking the 0 timing mark and make sure its lined up with your pointer

I've never heard of 32 pound injectors. What color are they? Pretty sure this doesn't exist, typically you get 19s, 24s, 30s, 36s, 42s... never seen a 32.

They are not the lights one expects to see on a GT and they appear to be sticking out from the bumper cover vs being recessed. Maybe that's what he meant?

No no no no....I noticed that it has a cobra bumper on it...just wasn't sure why the fogs aren't recessed as most usually are?

Still a great lookin car though.

The fogs are just supposed to be mounted behind the bumper cover....someone just kinda put them in the holes. If we are going to rag on asthetics I'd say get some wheel spacers out back, but damn the guy just got it home!

Anyhow, it looks like a really nice start and at least has a pretty $$ intake on it. Sounds like someone had put something back to stockish. Check the timing and the plugs/gap. I'm sure you'll sort that issue right away with those, although you might have a vaccum leak if it seems too rich at the same time; hard saying. Try to see what MAF it has and if it matches your injectors and you could also see if the ECU has had a chip used or not if it's ROM seal is broken or if one is still being used. As noted, it wouldnt be a horrible idea to replace the balancer. I had to aswell.

Good luck and welcome!

UPDATESSS...

Its been 2 months since i bought my car and have updated about my status.... I since tinted all windows 20%... Saleen Graphics... HIDS (gotta have HIDS in any car that i havee.. never will i have a car without hids lol.. Not to mention i sell them.), and as of last night, i had a blowout in one of my tires and had to replace both, soo i happened to run into a kid selling saleen wheels which i bought instead for an awesome price with tires... soo now my cobras are up for sale dirt cheap...

future plans now..... Cobra front bumper gotta go for the saleen front and back..... This aint really that necessary, but i wanna ditch the 4 inch cobra r hood for a 5 inch cobra r.... i had a 5 inch cowl on my fox and loved it... although thats not something ill do anytime soon........ Smoked crystal clear front headlights, and ill buy 96-98 taillights and buy tint overlays for them...... Saleen t1 looking wing... and thats it for the exterior...

Ohh did i mention that my brakes look uglyyyyy in back of these saleen wheels???? i need to get nice brakes soon and get a set of 325/30/18's

Motor---- yeahhh i definately wanna do something 351 based... 408? 351 boosted?? not sure.... all i know is people pull up next to me and think i have a saleen, when the truth of the matter is, their evo will blow my stock 5.0 awayyy..... soo until i get this new motor done, i think im gonna be driving like a grannyyy minding my own business.... last thing i wanna see is a youtube video of some crappy sti blowing the doors off of a "saleen" lol

lots of work to do.. soo heres pics for now...

.. that was before the saleen wheels...

after.... this is the only pic i got.. i just did the swap last night.... i do love tho how the wheels sit now... with the cobras they sat inside the fender... now it looks like there sittin a bit further out and the tires look a helluva lot better then the 245s i had on the back of my cobras..... altho these 265's arent near as wide as i wanna go... thatll change tho..
