you probably installed the heads upside down, possibly backwards, i would check that first, then go get some NOS stickers, that should take care of the "seat of the pants" feel

You're probably pretty close then. GT40X heads aren't huge horsepower and torque makers....nor are any of the other parts you've got listed. The more elaborate the parts, the more elaborate the gains will feel. Your combination of parts is pretty conservative and so too will be your gains. After tuning, you may have very well picked up 20-30rwhp, but in a 3,300lb car, 20-30hp isn't really going to jump out and grab ya.
I disagree.. My brother has the exact same setup with ported gt40x heads. He put down 310rwhp.. The porting helps, but the op should still be in the 280 rwhp range. X heads are better than gt40s or p's and I made 260 with stock cam and p's. Are you sure the cam was installed properly and the timing is set correctly?
