I BOUGHT THIS INTAKE. ITS A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS TYPHOON 351W LOWER. AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BOLT UP TO MY GT-40 UPPER, BUT SURPRISE IT WONT. THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF NOT LINNING UP. MY GT-40 HAS A SERIES OF STAGGARD HOLES THESE ARE ALL SIMETRICAL SQUARES. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF INTAKE WOULD LINE UP WITH IT. WILL A TRICK FLOW STREET HEAT LINE UP? SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.

you need to try to find an old lightning or cobra R lower...the gt-40s for the 351 are the staggered circular runners, its the same design as the 94-95 cobra but the 351 is just wider at the base...either that or fork up the dough to buy the lower from summit or jegs etc.

i have a lower

i already have the lower this post is trying to find a upper that will match it. and the jackass who sold it to me told me it would work. it was only 75 dollars. i could buy a professional products upper to match it but i dont know how well they would perform under boost. i was hoping the edelbrock performer rpm or the trick flow street heat would work. they are both square base's but there kinda staggered to.

my bad, i had it backwards...in that case, a trickflow upper should fit it. that looks just like mine

the only uppers that will work with the typhoon lower is edelbrock or typhoon themselves. trick flow has offset square ports allthough they look similar to the edelbrock they are not even close. best bet would be to either get a typhoon upper or edelbrock upper.

Yes that is 100% correct, you need the Typhoon or the E'brock Victor... The PP stuff isnlt all that bad once you do some clean up work, I have had them make good power.

professional products vs. edelbrock

Rick 91gt- do you have some numbers you can throw at me? i am building a 351 with ported canfeild heads and the typhoon lower maybe the edelbrock super victor or the typhoon upper. if i can get good numbers with a complete PP setup i might try it .

thank you, Rick. The Typhoon and Chinese Cobra get a lot of dissing, but they can be good performers.

I think most people, myself included, don't dislike the Typhoon or the chinese made Cobra intake because they can't be made to work or put up respectable numbers...

I think most people dislike them because it's putting chinese parts on what most of us would want to call an American muscle car.

At the end of the day, if you run ProComp chinese made heads, Professional Products chinese made intake manifolds and throttle bodies, ProForm chinese made electric fans and fuel pumps, the list goes on and on....how much of your car is American Muscle anymore?

WOW

WOW TMOSS. was that in naturally aspirated trim? i saw the specs at the botom of the graph and it didnt say anything about one. but that is damn sure impressive. well i guess im glad i made this choice now. those numbers are just as good as any trickflow #'s out there.
