Bought a 67 Mustang convertible as a father-son project a few weeks ago. It has a rebuilt 302, good body/frame, and little else. We've removed the engine and are having a great time with it so far. Would love some advice. The car originally was 3 speed but from reading some post here, seems like I may as well put in a t5 and rather than a toploader. I am a real novice -- so I'm wondering what's easiest to install. The car has a clutch pedal but nothing else --so I have to install everything. So, would you recommend a T5? And if so, which ones can I use -- there seems like scores of models. There a local guy offering a rebuilt 83 NWC T5 for $575 and I have no idea if that's a good deal or not. And finally, any advice on installing the clutch and linkages and what to get?
