I agree 100% that it's really not any stronger than a regular stock block. I really wanted to go with a Dart block, but it just wasn't in the budget. I mainly went with DSS because I wanted something short notice, and they had it in-stock ready to go. My car is mainly a street car and I don't really abuse it, so hopefully this will last. To their credit, the machine work on the block, girdle, and pistons all looks real nice.

Sweet deal.. My father and I are restoring and 84 t-top hatch it was a 3.8 v-6 but i got every thing converted over to a fuel in jected 5.0 from an 86. So its basicly gonna be like an 86gt with sonic blue paint and an svo style hood. We havent decided what way we are going with the engine but it should be sick.
