well its been awhile but back into the mustang net work again. 91 lx 306 canfield heads ($3800 worth of work done by fox lake) weisco pistons,eagle crank and rods,ron anderson n-65 cam,victor jr intake , holley hp carb,dss main girdle,nos cheater kit and also a fogger,c-4 3800 nos converter,4.10 gears rear end girdle and some other goodies but it needs a major make over so this winter i have my work cut out for me enjoy the pics

You did the right thing 
. I have always liked the older rangers myself, but if I was in your shoes, I would have done the same. I don't really care for the hood, and it's too bad the previous owner spray painted the engine compartment. Other than that I think that will make a nice winter project.
Are you keeping the factory paint color? Are you putting interior pieces back in? Those are some nice rides you've had there. I look forward to seeing progress over the winter. Good luck.

i got the ranger and did a 302 with a nice cam 289 heads roller rockers,performer rpm, holley,10 inch converter 4.10 just made a little street ride then the guy had the lx and asked if i wanted to trade i think i would have been dumb not too.i am going to smooth the engine bay and do a white paint job on it and also put the inside back together. as far as what it runs has ran a best of 10.18 on just the plate kit set on 200 and never had the fogger sprayed yet. the motor made 493 hp with out the spray.

i'm in love with that boxy older ranger dude... you've had some awesome rides in the past, looking forward to seeing this one all put back together the way henry ford intended (with a few hundred more horses, of course) keep us all posted man, good luck!
