i bought this bad boy nearly a year ago and I've finally installed it!! Install was easy, taking it out was the hardest. The radiator I believe it to be the C&R Racing Ultra High Performance Radiator because I was told so lol. Anyways here it is installed and ready to go!

The mountings appear a bit similar to SN95. I've dreaded removing my '94 radiator, as you mention removal. Try a 3rd. gen. Explorer! Must remove AC condenser (yep, lose charge), to get at rad. mounting bolts. Ridiculous! imp

Actually sn95 mustangs radiators are very easy, it'll take you about 20m and most of that is draining coolant. If it's an auto you only have 2 extra trans lines to remove off the radiator. We did my old 96 mustang at the same time as my gt500. leave the fan on the radiator they come up together. 2 hoses and unbolt the coolant tank and coolant tank hold down and move it over, It's that simple . We rigged a 2001 sn95's radiator to fit into my 96, the 2001 is longer and wider, doesn't really fit but I have an 01 sn95 parts car so got it to at least stay put. The 01 had a bigger fan than my 96 as well, but I'm certain it's because some one cut my connector and added a cheap pos slim eBay fan to my 96 long ago, had to cut the harness on the 01 and splice that connector in. After all this I'm hoping both my cars will do fine in traffic now.

Oh and yes the gt500 has the coolant ports in the same spot but, the gt500 is way taller! I can take pics today. Plus the coolant tank hose is not on the radiator like the sn95. Gt500 uses a hose off of the bypass coolant hose to the tank. It can be done but I'm thinking the gt500 radiator will be sticking up too much and you wouldn't be able to close your hood. My original plan was gonna be putting the gt500 old radiator into the sn95 until I saw how much work that would've been.

Radiator is completely in, had to remove the fan a bunch of times and modify it just a little bit. Just the fins/over casting on the left side next to ac lines need to be trimmed so the ac lines will clear. FYI remove the studs on the radiator that hold the pws lines and the condenser or else you'll have a hell of a time getting the radiator out with out poking holes and damaging the condenser. You don't have to unbolt the ac lines on the left side if you remove the studs. everything bolts back in despite the radiator being so much thicker. If you replace your condenser like I had to *cough cough* the aftermarket ones from napa are way better quality and looking than the stock unit. Plus you don't have an ac line running across the condenser which saves about a half inch of room which helps a ton. Any questions just ask and I'll answer the best I can

Is that cough acquired from breathing in Freon? imp
Actually it's from poking holes in my condesnor , i work at a shop so proper ac Evacuation and recharge was used. Took my car on a 2hr drive because of traffic and not once did my ac cut out, and the temp gauge held just below the half way mark at all times. My car feels much better, it was 98 degrees out and felt like the car always had constant power and wasn't retarding timing to compensate for heat at all. Next is my 170 degree thermostat I'll be installing as soon as it comes! Then after I was planning on getting the vmp triple pass heat exchanger with fans

A comparison between the 08 gt500 radiator and a 96 sn95 radiator. The coolant hoses go in the same spot, the mounting points are exactly the same. The difference is the length. The gt500 radiator won't stick up towards the hood, it'll go lower towards the ground, it's possible it could fit but it might hit the bottom the radiator core support. And there is no coolant tank hose on the gt500 radiator, so you'd half to find a way to get a coolant tank to work, maybe tap into the coolant cross over tube on the intake or t tap a coolant hose. The stock radiator thickness is a 1inch, the gt500 is 1.75inches.

Old condenser is absolutely garbage. I hate that there isn't an edge enclosing the fins for the condenser, and I hate the pipe the runs across the back of it as well. Napa gave me one that was thinner, didn't have that pipe running across the back and the fins on the edges were not exposed. It's not a must to get a new condenser with the thicker radiator but it helped a ton, the pipe was too close to hitting the radiator and made me nervous. Tested the ac out yesterday and it gets ice cold! Had to turn it down after 5min of driving on the freeway on a 98-100 degree day so the thinner condenser did not have any negative affects on the ac performance. My ac is way better now than it was before thanks to the new radiator and condenser
