I need new tires so I figured I might as well get rims too. I was looking at 17s and 18s..i have the stock 16 Pony's on there. I was just wondering what the widest tire I could fit on the back of a 96 GT was.

I was thinking like 295/x/18 or 315/x/17..

And also what would go on the front and look good without rubbing too much?

295/35/18 or 285/35/18 out back
265/35/18 up front

Go with 18's.

Look at www.afswheels.com for the 03 cobra's or
http://www.wheelreplicas.com/fr500.htm for F500's.

Go with 275/35/18 or 285/35/18.. You need to roll the fenders to use 295/35/18.. I've seen a guys tires torn up (saleen 18x10 wheel with bfg 295's).
Front go 265/35/18 like 'Houston' said.

Ok. I have my wheels picked:

18x8.5 and 18.9.5 with

Now, hypercoated or chrome? Four chrome wheels is about 400$ more than hypercoated. What exactly is hypercoated though? Is it like a silver finish?
