new short block on the way

sweet that link helps alot and ive been readin some other fourms and everybody else says that the majority of edelbrock heads do use the stock length. I know this is probly a stupid question but bare with me but what does the cam and push rods have in common:shrug: sorry lol
But on a side note i got oiling system stuff such as my pan and other goods:D Just waitin for sunday to put everything on.

Cam lifts the lifters which lift the pushrod which depress the valve.

Go to a few of the big cam builder sites and look at their tech section

When you see the picture ... You'll get the big picture

Pun intended :rlaugh:

Just waitin for sunday to put everything on.

I forgot the most important part

DO NOT :nono:

Just bolt on all your hot rod parts without checking

If something is not like it should be ............
You could do permanent non-repairable damage to your parts :bang:

I don't wanna scare you :(
just
Let you know how important it is to check that stuff :)

Especially when it involves your valve train :Word:

Again ... ALL that basic stuff can be found on the cam sites :D

does any body know where i can get a set of oil pan bolts. Or would i be better off just going to my local hardware store?
Im starting to see how much really goes into a motor I mean theres just so many little parts its crazy:eek:

I'd head to a salvage yard if ones close by, plenty of 5 liters around. Most the OEM bolts have the intergral washers, which work the best...you can clean/paint if you like. You have a complete timing/waterpump set... intake set, VC's ??

Your correct...the little things kill you. I sold my other motor complete and then built a 331... I know your pain...:D

I wouldn't want to lay on my back in the sand to pull a few oil pan bolts. If the engine is already pulled, they aren't going let you strip bolts off it anyways; it's the whole engine or nothing.

Part Brand: Holley

Heads are set up for Roller Cam

Recently serviced with brand new Manley "Race Flo" SS Valves, and new seals and new locks. Never run with new valves.

Valve seats are in great shape, 3-angle valve job done a year ago and new valves were lapped in.

Spring pressure is near new and tested to be 100lbs @ 1.750", 250lbs @1.250", 295lbs @ 1.125". Should easily support 560" lift.

I removed these from my 89 drag mustang with 306ci with turbo. This made 514rwhp though a race prepped AOD.

I am going to a Dart 347 and need a bigger head.

These are great heads and match up great with the Holley systemax intake.

Please check fitment for your application. Heads are sold as is.

please give me sum feed back i want to buy asap if you guys think its a good deal.

Oh geez i dident relize what i posted yes it is an ebay post i did this as i was racing out the door to work haha i can not post a link here at my works computer not sure why. all i did was type in sbf heads and they where on the first page.

so i bought the systemax heads. All rebuilt with better stuff all manley race flo ss valves upgraded springs and locks all assembled for 615 bucks. Ya i know it sounds to cheap but the guy had 100% feedback and all his reviews were perfect so we will see what happens. My cam is still going to stay the same choice comp cams xe270hr with 1.7 roller rockers. The thing is that i just had everything figured out and measured for my pushrods stock size would have worked great with the eddies. I want to know who is running the systemax stuff and what size pushrods they used this would help out greatly. Also the systemax heads are stud mount right:shrug:
