New Suspension Kit

I was at GAS (Galpin Auto Sports) the other day, and asked the guy how much it would cost to get a roush kit on my car, $1,800 installed, thats the basic, the stage 3 kit is $2,800 installed. The he told me that he could build me the best kit, eibach springs & sways, $915. Tokico shocks & struts, $900. bushing kit, $250, billet lower control arms, 550. and some sort of braces for $400. (cant read his writing), wants 3650 installed.

Now that seams a little steep to me. I know that roush kit costs $1,468.25 on there site. Which they call the complete kit. Does the stage 3 have a different kit on it?

What do you guys think about what this guy had to say,

What im really looking to do is take the car to the track a few times a year but it needs to be my daily driver.

Depends on what he's charging for the install. He seems to be adding an install cost for each part instead of looking at it as a whole. The Tokico D-Specs, for example, can be had for about $650 and the billet LCAs are around $350. The strut brace and lower A-arm brace can be had from BMR for far less than he's quoting you too so when you add it all up, the installation cost seems mighty steep. It's not like it's difficult either. The Roush set-up is a good one. I used the Tokico D-specs over Roush springs and didn't feel the need to upgrade the sway bars at all. I do have a strut brace and BMR A-arm brace which don't take any time at all to fit.

My advice is to buy the parts yourself and fit them yourself or get a local outlet to quote you on doing the whole thing. Hell, if I can do it, anyone can.

I think i will do it myself, my dad does own a mechanic shop.

I sent Roush a request for a stage 3 kit:

"The only suspension kit we sell retail is the stage 2 kit, which is prety much the same thing. Brakes are available as well on the website."


Does anyone know what comes extra with the stage 3 kit, i have looked for it but all is get is stuff on that blackjack mustang. Which is very very nice.
