alright guys i went to the track friday again hoping to hit some new times on the 150 shot well that didnt happen i was still running 8.4s but i got a new best speed of 90mph. I was really hoping to hit 7s so instead of just leaving it alone and not worrying about it i got the bright idea well heck i have the 200 shot jet in my center console let me stick that in and try.

i put the 200 jet in and only wanted to run her once and i got an amazing launch ran a 1.85 60'. sprayed in first it hooked a lil grabbed 2nd sprayed again and so on. past the line and quickly looked up at my time all i saw was an 8 i was slightly dissappointed again even though the 200 shot was a rush then my brother calls me literally right when i turn around at the end of the track and says dude check your slip you just ran a 7.8.

sure enough i checked my time.

60' 1.85
1/8 ET 7.88
1/8 MPH 94.2

Never running that 200 shot again till the motor is built but if it blew i was not too worried cause ive got the money ready to go for the new motor anyways.

basically what i am trying to say is 200 shot equals pure insanity lol. my head was thrown back in the seat pretty good and my bottle pressure is set at 1050 so it hits in hard. kinda curious as to how long she would last on a 200 shot but i think ill just leave the 150 in until it decides to let go. but thats now 25 bottles of nitrous total through the car.

1 on the 50 shot

14 on a 100 shot

10 on a 150 shot and 1 run down the track on a 200 shot and she is still running strong lol.

but i guess thats what an extra 200 ponies on tap will do for ya lol. dropped a full second in the 1/8th with a 200 shot over just the motor and added 14mph. that was also on 245 tires and the stock clutch hates me cause you could smell it burning after the run its got 64000 miles on it and thats probably 400 passes at the track lol

i am sporting the tune that the sniper software has made for me. air fuel is in check. i love this sniper stuff click on nitrous and 150 shot and it pulls out the necessary timing and you have to click on wet shot as well.

it runs like a champ when i run her on motor with my motor tune it turns 8.8s consistently at 80mph. runs strong.

still not sure why everyone is so scared of nitrous. if its hooked up correctly and the tune is good you are fine. heck im probably only at 400rwhp. its really not much rougher than a turbo or supercharger. its just that initial hit that hurts the motor the most.

Sounds like you need some drag radials. You would get into the 7's with less nitrous.

Thats a huge shot man, lol. I know someone who burned a piston to toast with a 200 shot, stock bottom end.

All in the tune...

Yeah I have yet to hit my 150hp. I just took my motor out to flycut pistons for cams I just put in. Cant wait to hear it run again. I,am hoping with the mods I'am doing and a 150 hp, Ill get something like 7.2 to 7.4. in 1/8.

oh it was a blast. the step from the 100 to 150 was crazy it hit really hard but then going from a 150 to a 200 is insane. id say if i dynoed her it would put down about 450rwhp and around i dunno550tq. nitrous is too much fun lol but def not going to the 250 shot lol no way jose. i was pretty brave going to a 200. i still have 2 jets to try lol 250 and 300 lol. those wont be for quite some time when the motor is built for it and im running a progressive controller so i dont kill the trans either.

oh and if anyone did not know this is not WOT activation i have a hurst shift knob with a button on it. i think WOT activation would kill the fun factor of the nitrous i like doing it manually.

not sure what number the jets are i would have to go check. but no the pump is on order now but the air fuel was still fine i checked it with a wideband. I was staying right around 12.0

Holy cow!!!! Man your running with teh cobra now! LOL

Heh these 2Vs will take alot more than people give them credit for . Somone has a bad tune or an issue (maybe injector failing) and blows their S/C GT and then everyone automatically thinks they are weak. As long as there is no detonation, they will be fine.

heck if an injector failed on my cobra, it would probbly drop that piston too....something major happens that causes alot of detonation, just about any engine will go south.

thanks man. yea these 2vs are not as bad as most people make them out to be. havent heard a single cough or hiccup out of this motor. and the nitrous pulls hard lol i need a new clutch and some drag radials and then see what she will do but more than likely when i spray off the line im gonna snap an axle.

oh well gives me an excuse to replace it with some better ones lol.

hahahaha that makes me feel good to to hear you say its running with the cobra lol. All it takes is a 200 shot of the jug and some kahones to even do it lol.

oh and i wonder if its the plate system that is able to distribute the fuel and nitrous better because i also havent gotten the dreaded nitrous backfire with that big of a shot like most are also scared of. no fuel puddling for this guy (knock on wood)

I busted 2 pistons ( just chipped a little piece on both ) , on my vortech GT with 10lbs and 17 degrees of timing with rev limiter at 6400 , but its been supercharged for 16,000 miles and bounced off the rev limiter more times than I can remember ....
