For ever I have had jetting in the carb that was huge. I ended up with 84/94 for jetting. I made some changes to the carb and and seemed fine untill the car really started moving. I didn't think it was possible to pull that hard with 2.75's :D. She would just go lean real quick. Ended the night with the jetting at 86/97. Still way to lean. I did have a blast when it was pulling hard. Again though, could go to hard with the throttle. I left at half, looked at the AFR meter, glanced up and I was headed straight for cones. I let up and go back to the middle and try again. Goes lean and I coast. 8.2 at 86.
Here's the funny thing. I thought the jetting was high, but normal because it was so high when I was running N/A. Add boost, and common sense would say yes, jetting will have to go up. But now I seriously think that the blue pump wasn't cutting it. And now the one I have isn't cutting it. the jets never made a huge difference when I made a change before. I guess I need to break down and buy the monster pump. If jetting goes down, then I will be happy, but pissed because the car coulda gone alot faster on motor. The real kicker is I have the dough for the pump. But I almost have the money for another block. What I'm getting the block for, boost may have to wait.

The pump I'll probably end up with is 300. I'm gonna blow this motor. But I want to get the block before someone else does. I just want it there when I spit this one. I'll just have to wait for the pump I guess. Damn, I've already waited long enough.

I am going to build a new motor. Maybe stick with a real 302. maybe stroke who knows. I'm taking it easy right now. But when I have the block, and maybe a few parts, the boost will go up until I smell coolant, then turn it down a bit.

Hey 10secgoal.......bad luck here as well. I ran today and made two time trials 7.643 (1.660 60') 89.44 mph (new 3.55 gears) and put myself on the trailer again.....I think I spun a rod bearing this time. I have a loud ticking sound and the oil pressure fell to 25 psi. I'm done for the season. This stroker motor did not last as long as I thought it would. (Only 2 seasons old)

I'm gonna try your 650 today, but you were gonna find out sooner or later. I need to find out if it is a lack of fuel from a weak pump, or a weak signal because of the carb.
PSST....that pump may be the problem with your combo now.

Damn Huey. How high are you spinning it ? See you got the new gears. Did you hook both times ? Saw the 60 dropped a bit.

I shift at 6k and a few times to about 6.5k. It started to hook but it broke by the time the track started to warm up and I was hoping to get the suspension dialed in better.

Medina is located halfway between Nashville and Memphis off of I-40.

that's what i was thinking too:D

my car is at my parents house -- we can get the carb later after i get off work:nice:

do you have a fuel pressure gauge? that should tell you if it's a pump problem.

the psi is up, but he volume I think is lacking. Fuel psi was at 15-16 psi. I think I had a fuel shortage with the old steup and it just carried over to the new one, even with a new pump. So I just bought the A100. I think it's all pump related.
