new upgrades, is this a good combo?

OK, so my buddy is pactically giving me a cam combo he got and isnt going to use afterall. So i figured id take advantage of it and take care of a few other mods i have been itching to get done and since i have a good chunk of change saved up I might as well.

Heres the plan.

Going into what i aready have in my sig. Swapping the Crane energizer for

Comp Magnum 270
2200 stall
Locker rear end
3.25 or 3.55 gears

You guys think this will work well with what i already have? anythng i should watch out for?

I like the magnum because it has a better sound than the energizer and a broader rpm range.

Also according to Comp cams the 270 doesnt affect power accesories too much. which is good since im getting power disk brakes done hopefully this week.

well ive got another question,

i noticed that comp says you cant use stock valve springs when using the magnum cam. why is that? When i put in the energizer cam i also had the e7 heads put in and am not sure if i had the valve springs changed... is there any way to tell?

Those E7's should have roller springs, those will be fine for a 270H. Not ten lbs difference in the open/closed values
