New wheels

These are the new wheels i'm putting on my stang. I'm getting a killer deal on them (300 with tires), just have to put in some wheel spacers to make them sit where they should be. Wheel spacers won't hurt anything right? i'm not pushing any serious horse power. Anything i need to watch out for? i was just goin to order them fromJC Whitney . Heres a pic of the rims.

Looks nice . Haven't heard of wheel spacer hurting anything so far. My advice is to lower your car, it'll be much better.

You might want to do more research on the effect of wheel spacers. When I was big into Jeeps and four-wheeling, this one off roading magazine had an article about spacers. It points out that moving the centerline of the wheel, by spacers or aftermarket wheels with the wrong backspacing, can put extra stress on the suspension.

Do you remember the fad with the small wheels that stuck out like a turtle? Have you noticed how those cars didn't last?

I would be getting the 5/16" wheel spacers. those can't make it stick out too far???Thats what the jcwhitney link shows. The guy said it would be around 9mm farther in at most cause they are for a front wheel drive car,can't remember what he said the offset was??. Thats why i figured the wheel spacers would do the trick. I really WANT five spoke wheels. The three i have stock are good for snow...not for show .

i have wheel spacers right now. the guy told me that putting too big of a wheel spacer can put extra stress on the suspension. so i guess as long as theyre not too wide, youll be just fine.

yeah, but with wheel spacers there are less threads on the recieving end of the lug... so u might want to try to get some with extedned threads.
i dont have to worry about al that, because while mine are offset ALOT, they were cast that way, so the lugnut sits further in the whole (ALOT further, like 1 inch in the whole atleast, while the fronts stick out an inch!) (i later got extended (head), not thread) lugnuts that fixed this problem (aesthetic)
