It's going to stay NA. I had thoughts of boost, but I can get away with mostly stock fuel/ignition systems and my Microsquirt by staying NA. I have other parts of the car that need upgrading before I go crazy on power.

I do. I'm wondering if someone may want my entire top end kit, along with my trickflow pistons that allow PTV clearance with the FTI cam I had made. Haven't separated the heads yet to see what overbore the pistons are, the top end I have built would be perfect on a 302.

Little by little, I am getting closer to having some progress to post about. My heads came today, so that got me excited. As of now I have everything I need for the engine build, except my cam from Ed.

Also standing by is the Tremec TKX with it's needed supporting parts, as well as hardened Strange axles.

I have all the supporting parts for the fuel system, except the throttle body, as I'm going four barrel style and the one I want has been on backorder. I have some visual mods for the car bought and waiting...

There is going to be a lot of work to do this spring, and the car will be completely transformed. Sorry, not much content to talk about, I'm just getting excited to get into the mix again.

Didn't plan to, but I always blend the intake ports to the heads if need be, and take welding flash off the insides of header openings, etc. Just for smooth transitions. We'll see how well they all match up when I get to that point. Otherwise no. It not a race car, so whatever it makes for power is fine.

Was asking because we found that the Super Victor for the 377 we are building was the choke point on air flow. The Wilson throttle body and Dart heads out flowed the intake so we sent the intake to Wilson and had them port it. I think the more power you are making the more you get from the porting so just port matching may be the way to go. You would have to know the flow rate of the heads at max lift of your combination at XX inches of water column and then see what the flow rate of the intake is at the same inches of water column. That would tell you if the intake is going to be good as is or could benefit from porting.

This is the intake that Wilson ported for the 377 going in the 1969 Fastback with Wilson fuel rails and 72 lb/hr injectors (gives the option to tune and run E-85 or gasoline):

I appreciate all the info. I'm going N/A 363, with AFR 205s. Chose the 205s around my header combo. It will not be a balls to wall max horsepower car. Only plan to spin it to 6,500 rpm, and it will be solely street driven. If it makes 500 hp, then awesome, but my TF170 headed 347 had plenty of balls to be fun, so this should be great for me no matter where it ends up for power. My goal is longevity with fun factor.

Well ladies and gents, it's been a bit. Life always gets in our way. I was let go from my job at the end of April. I start a new job that is higher pay, along with much better benefits on the 24th of this month, however. These things always tend to push me to something better, luckily. With the down time, rather than be able to work on the Fox, my wife decided it would be a good time to build our pool deck... Not the easiest task by myself, but after some permit setbacks (nosey neighbor), I am nearly done.

That is until I decided to wrestle a buddy twice my weight who essentially broke my left knee in half. Doc says I have a torn MCL, and minor tearing in my ACL. I'm sidelined completely, but on the plus side, my 363 is almost done.

The builder is going to break it in on an engine dyno for me. It will be done with a carb, so who knows if what they say it makes is very accurate, but regardless it will tickle my fancy just fine. The 347 was a blast as a power source, and this should be substantially stronger as the 347 was choked by small heads.

Anywho, I had time while being laid up, and figured I'd give a life update to those that remember me and may wonder.

Deck looks good man! Sucks about your knee. My 331 made right at 452 fwhp on an engine dyno and carbed. Made around 360 rwhp injected and its a 5 speed car. I think some of the loss is due to the fuel system not being 100% up to the task which it is now and the cold air kit was cobbled together and that is also fixed now. Will not being going back on the dyno until the MSPNP is installed this winter. I am done with having to pay someone to tune it every time I make a change.

Heal up and I will say that I did six weeks of physical therapy 3 times a week and that was only on a meniscus tear so get as much of that as you can as it really helps.

Get well soon! Glad to hear you’ll end up with some better employment!
Sometimes neighbors suck….. what should they care about a deck around your pool! Good on you for getting through the obstacles and getting it done!
Oh yeah….. very cool motor too!!

Not sure if I ever talked about after the house buying post, but there are 3 other couples with kids in our neighborhood that we've become close friends with. Combine them with the friends we had prior to moving here, and I wanted the deck to be big enough to hold everyone without getting splashed by kids. It's 1162 Sq ft.
