NIGHTMARE! Need some guidance

I'm getting sick of removing these old control arms! The bolts are seized in the inner bushing sleeze, so i can not just remove the bolts and slide the arms out. I had OK luck with the sawzall on the axle side of the arm, but the frame side of the arms are even more trouble! They are seized good, and i can't get can't the sawzall to go through.

Maybe you guys can recommend some quality blades that will got hrough tough metal like this?

Getting pretty pissed off with this rusty crap.
 
I'll definetly cover the threads with a generous portion of antiseize. These are the stock control arms/hardware i'm dealing with here.

Assuming i can get the bastards out... i think i'll have to find an acetalyne torch!
 
Mav, sorry to hear you are still dealing with those arms.

if you have not tried it, what i might do: if you can get the nut off, do it. then use a BFH to hammer the exposed stud - see if you can drive it out. once it is broken loose, it should come out (even if a drift is required to get it all the way out).

This is an old trick my dad taught me on buses. Heat the offending bolts with a torch until they are red, then dowse them with cold water. This will "shock" the rust and crud that is seizing them (most of the time).

When I did mine they were a real bitch. After I got the nut off with an impact, I had to pound on the thread side of the bolts while my buddy spun the bolt with the impact. They came out real slow, but they all came out.

Yep, I did the same, and it worked for me. You just need a proper sized punch and a handheld sledge. A impact isnt necissary, but does make it go a bit quicker.
 
Heat them up (the outer sleeve) and hammer away. Had to do that with O2 sensors...used a ton of antiseize this time... Make sure they are cherry red...that way they wont cool off to quick, plus they are heated all the way through.
