Nitto 555's yes or no

new tire time- Which are better the Z-rated Nitto NT 555 or kumho 711 H rated, i currently have goodyear eagle zr45's. The nitto's are a little bit more expensive, but i think they are the better buy, but i decided to consult you guys.

The Nitto's are tons better than the 711's.

Are you talking about the regular Nitto 555's or the 555DRs or 555RII's???

Since the original poster was discussing the regular 555's thats what I was referring to. Altho the R's & RII's are even that much more sticky than the Kuhmo 712's.

i like the nitto 555, i just got them put on the front , response seems nice from them and i can tell theyre prolly gonna last me awhile, planning to get the 555r in the back tho

Thats what I have (275 front, 315 rear), and I am 100% happy with the tires. They are stiff enough for the road course, but soft enough to pull low 1.9 60's at the track. They have excellent wear also, I got 15k out of the dr's with tons of burnouts/hard driving and the fronts still have at least 50% tread left.

Go with the Nitto's. There an excellent all around tire and have good tread wear and grip. I've read in magazines that Nittos are highly popular with the late model muscle car guys. I have nittos on my thorq thrusters then have a good balance while cornering and launching.
