OK I have GT40p heads and I'm going to change the valves spring. I have all the tools to do it while the heads are still on the engine. My question is what order are the intake and exhaust valve springs in. I have a haynes manual and it say
Left Side -E-I-E-I-E-I-E-I
Right Side I-E-I-E-I-E-I-E
Is the order above as sitting in the car and is it front to rear or rear to front?

Thanks

Moved to 5.0 Tech.

It would be as though you were standing there looking down at the engine from the front. Right side being cylinders 1-4 and left being 5-8.

Simply look at where the exhaust ports or header pipes are on the cylinder head. The valve and spring directly on top are the exhaust... same goes for the intake side.

..... or cylinder #1 starts with the intake valve in front and cylinder #5 starts with the exhaust valve in front. BTW... the exhaust valves are the ones with the 2-piece retainer/rotator assy.
