i live in goldsboro NC. this is the first year that we have the OBD2 test....my car has an off road x pipe with mil eliminators....i threw a code a week ago for a an oxygen sensor. i cleared the code and it hasnt come back.

so they check for codes right? if i dont have any i shouldnt worry right?

whats this i hear about pending codes?????

damn i just wanna pass this crap.....

Yes, here in Ga as long as there are no codes and the OBD is in the ready state, around 100 miles driven after you cleared them, you are okay!

That is hear, but it should be the same hopefully!

How much are they charging you all for testing?

It is 25 max for here! HOpe that helps.

I have the MIL on my car as well and It passed in September!

they charge 30 bucks here......hopefully it passes a second time.....today i went to have it inspected and it failed for the damn window tint...he didnt even do the odb-2 test.....so as we speek im pulling window tint off my driver &passenger side windows......

Dude that is bull****! They take your money and still fail you.

Here if you fail, you get one retest for free!

I would check around, someone knows someone that will overlook that. There's gotta be someone.

Let us know how it goes.

You will fail if you have an O/R pipe... not sure if that was your question though. They'll take your money, make you put the stock H back on, then charge you when you come back once more.

As for codes, as long as any aren't showing at the time of test, you should be fine...if they check your history and past codes are still not cleared, it has never been an issue for me, my car throws codes left and right (always the same O2 sensor) from time to time, and they simply go away, so I never have them cleared.

well i retested yesterday......all the saftey and visual emissions stuff passed....he just "asked" if i had cats.....well when he hooked it up to the OBD-2 tester....it didnt fail. just 3 of the sensors were not done testing. so out of the 10 they check 3 were not dome completeing a cycle...i removed my tune from my computer like a week and a half ago because i knew the test was coming.....

the mechanic didnt charge me, he just told me to get some HWY miles on it and come back.....
