I got 3 tickets on the palisades parkway by me and i got speeding 66 in 55 (was going 76 in 45), having a smoke license plate cover over my license plate and expired inspection. I did'nt even know it was expired. im getting it inspected tommorow.

The speeding im gonna plead guilty and just pay.

The other two? What should I do? How could I get out of those.

If you went to court on the ticket, the judge may just drop the 2 non-moving violations if you have proof that the items were taken care of, may not be a bad idea, what do you got to loose at this point?

That sucks though, not a good day...

Man I am so glad that we don't have to deal with that type of stuff here. We have emission tests but none of this expired inspection tags type of stuff, that sucks...

Florida is like that too but when i lived in PA you had to inspection and emissions.. crapola . Im not saying i always obey the law but when i get caught i dont bitch about it. You got ticketed because of your plate i believe its a law in most states that you cant have a smoked cover because it could make it harder for police to read it. The inspection is a no brainer along with the speeding. How old was the inspection? In PA you have 7days to get it done after.

it expired on the 8th of this month. i go to college full time and work 35 hours a week. its really hard. i dont have time to b/s. like if i had time ever i would of noticed that i need to get it inspected.

i decided i'll pay for the speeding ticket bc he gave me a break as it is.

but ill go to court for the other 2.

Your better off going to court for all 3.. They will see you paid 1 and figure your guilty on all 3. I tried that once when i got 2 tickets at once.

YOU SURE MAN, cause i was going 30 mph over in a work zone the cop gave me 10 over in a regular zone. he might just decide to be a dick bc i came to court wen he gave me a break in teh first place. also, new rule over where i live, state troopers arent allowed to plea bargian at all at court. only can do stuffl ike that when they pull you over. like he did to me.

Plus its obvious im guilty for the other 2. its factual. you know?

it was'nt like speeding.

my inspection was expired and i did have the license plate cover smoked one.

The cop diddnt put work zone down on the ticket or the actual proof so he cant change it later. What? It dosent matter what cop pulls you over the judge can throw what ever out they want. If they cant plea bargin your no getting out of any ticket then.

Lisence plate covers are just obvious ticket-getters. There are tons of other things that will land you a ticket one of these days. Clear taillights, HID lights, 5% tint are just things you take your chances on.

The speeding one and inspection sticker i'll give ya, because we've all sped and i've gone a week or two past inspection before. No big deal.

I think inspection is just a money-maker anyway. There's this one trap i know of set up with 2 state police officers on the side of the road pulling over cars with expired stickers. These cars are in creeping traffic with no turn-offs , so the cops just stand there and look at stickers on all the sitting ducks. It's stupid because the majority of the cars being pulled over are basically brand new cars with stickers expired for a month or two tops.

i cant believe he got pulled over on the palisades parkway. that road is like the autobahn. theres hardly any places for troopers to even hide. at least the sections i drove on.

If it was a construction zone, I can see a cop nabbing him...

And as far as we all do it, I dont do 76 in a 45 with construction workers around, but hey were all a little different!

Not sure where thats at, but here if you get an inspection / registration ticket and they are not more than 60 days expired, all you have to do is get them updated and go to court. The judge can and usually does dismiss them with a 10.00 fine.

Same with the license plate cover. Take it off and go to court. I think they will dismiss that one also.

Thats how it is here with alot of that stuff too. You can forget your proof of registration and insurance, go back and only pay a 10.00 fine. I would take them all to court. Also, like RsStanG1987 said, the judge can't add charges once you are in court so you might as well fight it. Worth a shot
