The explorer intake is basicly a prodution cobra intake. You can port the GT-40 lowers to flow up into the 270-280 after reshaping the runners. At that point the upper becomes the restriction (IIRC 240cfm). The ture GT-40 uppers are not really portable, but the Cobra/Explorer intakes are. The long runner intake makes a great street intake. Sure it may give up a few hp up top to other intakes, but when you spend 99% of the time on the street its perfect.
To be honest I'm going to run my ported lower on a 342. There will always be someone faster than me at the track so I'm going for the "Stoplight Nationals".
