I know this is old, but is there any chance you could clarify where you ground down the calipers?Oh with a machine shop it would be easy. I'd say I took off 3/16” towards the middle of the caliper and maybe 1/16" at the outer part of the arch.
I lightened the picture up as much as I could to try to see the clearance

Sorry I don't have any other pictures and I ended up not using them because I wasn't happy with the clearance, and amount I had to grind.I know this is old, but is there any chance you could clarify where you ground down the calipers?
I just purchased these wheels
18x9 up front, but I also just got a big deal on a new powdercoated set of ATS brakes for the front with the matching Taurus rear calipers.

I went with standard cobra calipers...
Front cobra and Taurus rears have been working perfectly for me.Ahhhh ok. Looks like I will have to go with another option.
Did you upgrade the rears?
Not too good with brake bias, but wondering if the front cobra calipers will work with rear Taurus and be safe.

I think the Cobra “R” kit are Brembo calipers and that’s why they don’t fit? Just buy a standard Cobra kit (with PBR calipers?)I
