o/r H vs. o/r PC...which is louder?

I have an opprotunity to pick up an off-road ProChamber for pretty cheap. Is the o/r ProChamber any quieter than an off-road H-pipe? I had a o/r h-pipe for a couple days and decided it was too loud for me. Will I feel the same way about the o/r ProChamber? BTW, I have a Magnaflow Cat-back (the regular, oval mufflers, not the MagnaPacks).

Thanks :SNSign:

I've ran OR prochamber, Hpipe, xpipe and of course the stokc Catted hpipe.
Prochamber is the quietest OR pipe I've had, or heard. It does give a small amount of cabin sound. Kinda a muscle car sound IMO. For everyday street driving it was the midpipe I liked the most.
Hpipe - LOVED the sound and the way the power was.
Xpipe - well it don't leak like the Hpipe did and it clears my DS loop unlike my Prochamber.

I have a, OR Prochamber & I love it. There is a bit of resonance inside the cabin, but that would be expected. I like the harmonic sound that comes from the Prochamber!

My neighbor has the BBK OR X-Pipe & I think it sounds a little obnoxious.

I've had both. The H is louder. It breaks over at abour 2500 RPM. That's when it goes from a low rumble to a loud scream. The Prochamber does it around 2100 RPM. The Prochamber has a smoother idle. Deep and smooth. The H was more choppy. More Harley Davidson motorcycle kind of choppy.

Propellerhead is correct, above 2500 rpm the PC howls:D

I like the way my catted PC sounds with the LM1 a lot better than the OR setup, the SLP just pops too much under acceleration without the cats. Still sounds good, just I'm picky.

offroad H is louder. the chamber on a prochamber is basically just a 3rd smaller muffler. some people say the catted prochamber barely makes any difference in volume of your exhaust and only changes the tone.

propellerhead's description is pretty good :nice:

personally i dont like the SLP LM 1 they give no tone and just pop alot
with the catted PC and shorties it doesn't pop at all. Most people don't even believe its LM1. I do get popping if I am downshifting to a stop, but nothing on acceleration or light decel. It sounds amazing.

Exhaust and tires are so subjective its hard to get a definitive answer.

not really, it would be fair to say that certain exhaust setups have certain characteristics... (and certain people can't spell) and as long as those things aren't refered to as "better than x y or z" and instead "louder than x y or z, but pops" or whatever. I need a beer I'm not making sense.
