If you delete the cats, you're going to throw a CEL. The guys who say they don't throw a CEL are lying, or using MIL Eliminators, or using a tuner to turn off the rear 02 sensors. The MIL Eliminators rarely work so I wouldn't ever recommend using them. The tuner with the rear 02 sensors turned off will always work. I'd recommend picking up a tuner from VMP Tuning like this ...

As nasty said you will throw a CEL. In response to bbk and pypes telling you that, they weren't lying. You don't NEED a tune, as it will not hurt your car not to have one, you will just have the light on all the time.

well im a pretty good tech and well the buddies whos cel light didnt come on i know for sure they had no tune because i put the exhaust on myself and see the car pretty much everyday. But ive heard and seen both some cars the light came on while others it didnt...i knw ways of tricking the o2 sensor like spacers and moving the sensore further down the exhaust to trick it to being cooler. but i dont want to do them moods..i will eventually get a tuner but right now money is tight and im just trying to get what i can.

I'm sorry but moving the sensor down or using spacers is not going to make the rear 02 sensors get a correct reading to not throw a CEL.

And if the CEL didn't come on... it's not an OBD II car. It doesn't have rear O2 sensors.

the spacers or moving the o2 sensor do work but it is just a pain trying to figure out how much further to move them..it tricks them because they will be reading cooler...but I dont want them to be reading to cool or it will throw a code...we do these mods on alot of civics and other vrhicles when we install hydrogen kits..brcause with the hydroygen the exhaust make the o2 think the car is running lean...

man im not trying to say your wrong and im right its just that i knw them things work because that what we do with hydrogen kits..you can trick pretty much every sensor ive had to trick maf sensor till i was able to get the car tuned for for it but that just requires easy math to figure out... all i was wanting to know if anybody else has heard what i have bout the rear o2...i am eventually gonna get a tuner but for now ill just use the factory computer to clear the codes till i can get the tuner

If you don't have the money to do it right, than don't do it at all...

what if any will the O/R H pipe do for you in the new stangs? I hear the factory exhaust flows good enough unless you add at least a blower?

Losing the cats will gain generally around ~4 rwhp.
