My car is lowered approx. 1 3/4 inches. Will a set of poly offset rack bushings help out with bumpsteer, assuming the alignment is right on. Car loves to wander and follow the ruts in the roads. I realize the 9 inch wide rims I have don't help either however for 11 dollars, I thought it would be woth a try. Anybody have any success stories with these.

i lowered mine and had a slight wander. i installed the offset bushings and maybe a little difference is felt. my tires are sh#* which may be part of problem as well. (the previous owner decided to use aquaflows, NO TRACTION)sorry needed to get that out. steeda says their endlinks will solve that problem. the bushings are cheap and easy to install, go for it, might save you alot of money....cant hurt

to solve bumpsteer, you install a bumpsteer kit.

Bumpsteer is not the same problem as tramlining (ie following ruts in the road). It may happen when you do this, but you may have more than one problem.

yeh you'll need a bumpsteer kit. then you'll have to set it up correctly to achieve 0 bumpsteer, then you'll have to get it aligned. forget the offset rack bushings they dont help much.

I read in a MM article that the offset bushing can make problems worst in some occasions. You're better off getting the centered alum bushings.
