Steve I’m looking for some help. I’ve owned my car about three years and have spent very very little time on it. Car runs and performs like it should. My lx 5.0 idles roughly around 13-1400 rpms when warm, then drops down to 900-1000 rpms when put in Drive, and again drops down to what I think the idle should be all the time when car is in Drive and the AC is turned on. At this point you can actually hear the Anderson N41 camshaft. I do have the megasquirt 2. How can I correct this?

Will I not see “IAC idle cranking steps” until I’m plugged into the car?

This is all in the idle settings, it's not as easy as 'check this box' when it comes to idle. We will need to setup the Closed loop idle functions and the AC idle up functions.

Very sweet looking car!!!!

Now based on the screenshots your firmware is out of date. It could take someone like myself 5mins up to an hour to fine tune the idle in person. Like i said its not an easy task for a beginner..... start with the firmware update, http://www.msextra.com/downloads/
Its at 3.4.2 is the newest for MS2 your on 3.1.1

I offer full tuning services if you want to streamline this process, or if your more apt to learn the system for future adjustments I also offer a private tuning class. PM me for details.

Cool, like i said the firmware update is first on the list. Some of your settings will change after the update then the adjustments can begin. If you have any questions or need help getting the update in place feel free to ask.

Thats for the TunerStudio program itself.. The firmware update is much different its for the actual ECU thats in the car. Follow the link i posted then scroll down to MS2 firmware 3.4.2 ms2/extra

once you have it downloaded in TS [tunerstudio] with the ECU connected go into 'tools' tab and hit the 'update/install firmware' button then follow the prompts.

Hey Steve just getting a chance to mess with my car. When I plug into car to run update on ECU this is what I’m getting. Not sure to keep moving forward? I didn’t continue.

Ok so all you have to do is select the controller that you have, which MS do you have?
