well on my new 88 notch i noticed since i bought it that it kinda smelled like gas a little bit.but didnt pay too much attention thinking it was the o/r exhaust.but then while changing my balljoints and rotors i noticed that the fuel line on the pass side right by the frame has a bad leak that shoots a steady line of fuel onto the frame.

now i want to fix this asap and i am not sure where to go about getting the fuel lines?price?difficulty?

can someone help me out?

thanks alot

same here, i was re-installing the T5 friday night and noticed a wet fuel spot right by the frame where it turns into a rubber line, the factory uses a spring type clamp on the fuel line where it was leaking, so i tried to remove it with pliers and it cracked, so i yanked it off, pushed the rubber line on about 1/2" farther gently with pliers(dont rip or cut it) and put on a stronger screw type clamp, i had to use 2 extensions and a 3/8" ratchet next to the frame because of the odd angle, good luck

My 89 GT had the same leak last year.
It was the return line and shot a miniture
stream when the car was running.

I went to NAPA and bought 1 foot of high pressure
fuel line.

I cut about 2 inches.

I slit the side longitudinally.

I slipped the split hose on the line and
slid it over the pin hole, turning the
good side to the hole.

Put on a mini hose clamp directly
over the pinhole.

NO MORE LEAK.
