So I have an 03 Stage 2 Roush Vert. Basically all the suspension and body work but no motor work beside a CAI and Diablo Tune. Im getting very close to finally picking up a S/C and think I am leaning towards the Kenne BEll. Anyone here have a kenne bell on an 03 GT or comparible? Should I intercool or aftercool? Should I buy a Vortech? Ive got about $10,000.00 total for parts and install. Any suggestions would be appreciated! :spot:

Vortech makes a great blower...........I've had three of them on this car along with a procharger and now a KB. It's tough to beat a vortech just as it is the KB. Some people like the instant boost of the twin screw while others like the top end rush that the centrifugals have. For me, having had 4 different centrifugals on this car and finally ending up with a twin screw, I'm staying with the KB.

I just learned how to do brakes so i dunno if it will be exactly EASY for me. I think Im just going to take it to a shop so I know it's done right, I just need to know how much that is going to be. Ive been looking at the kit and it doesnt say anything about a new fuel pump? All the other S/C kits Ive seen make you get a new fuel pump and this one doesnt? Am I missing something?

i think everything is included in the 9psi kit, they also include boost-a-pump, and the chip+intercooler. All you need to buy is the fuel pressure and boost gauge, and pod( u can buy it at KB also) plus sparkplug Denso IT20 (recommended by KB). that is it.
i think the total for part and installation will run around 6000.00 if u live outside CA. I have to pay 400.00 for tax. :bang:

If you can do a brake job, then I think you can do this kit. You will see what I'm talking about, after you look at the installation instruction. The instructions are extremely well written. I read over the instructions 2 times before I began.

The kit comes with a fuel BOOST A PUMP which boosts your fuel pump you already have. So there is no need for a new fuel pump.

It should cost about 700.00 for the install if you still feel uncomfortable about installing it yourself.

Similar installation. Whose TB to MAF pipe do you have... Is that a bit of nitrous injected into TB. If so would love to talk.... Looks like a great way to reduce heat. What size shot..

I know it is not of my business, but what do you do for living? :rlaugh: FIVE superchargers?????? How can you do it man? That cos alot of $$$ Just kidding....Looking at your current set up, it looks like you still have the Vortech Ice Box, do you still use it with the KB set up? Any advantages?

You can't go wrong with either selection. It all boils down to your goals. I love the kick of my KB at 2,500 rpms....and if I had to choose again, make no mistake I would choose the KB again. :nice: If you have the extra $$$, go intercooled....it is worhwhile....and it will make your motor less prone to detonation. FYI, I paid $600 for the installation of my kit.

Well, fortunately I was able to sell all of the previous blowers for close to the cost of a new one so it really didn't cost a lot of money swapping them.

The vortech box wasn't left over from anything. I chose to use it instead of the KB supplied reservior mainly to keep the front of the engine a bit cleaner looking and to also have a bit more holding capacity. Now I just need to chrome the alternator as it sticks out like a sore thumb lol.
