After a hard autocross run, there is a ticking in the engine that goes away after 15-30 seconds. It sounds like a sticking lifter. My guess is that the hard turns and decellerations slop the oil out of the pan, starving the motor for oil pressure. I have not noticed it on the guage as my eyes are glued to the road ahead.
If this sounds like oil starvation to you, what kind of pan and pick up tube should I get? (The car is lowered 1.5 inches, so is fairly close to the ground). Thanks for your ideas.
