Hey all-
I recently had to get a new radiator in my '00 GT. The replacement radiator is for an AT car. I was thinking I could get a "sandwich adapter" and plumb some oil lines into the AT cooler. My car is a standard trans.

My questions is basically: Is the AT cooler sufficient to effectively cool the oil at all? Sacramento Mustang claims the pipe is not large enough to make the job worth my effort.

Thanks!

Oil coolers are usually cooled by engine coolant, I think an air/air cooler wouldn't be as effective, plus would it be able to withstand the oil volume/pressure? You wouldn't want to restrict the volume at all, this could possibly starve the engine of oil.....
