Well as with all turbo systems ( that I know of) you have to delete the smog pump and tuck ( and plug) the vaccum lines in the inner fender. You shouldnt have to delete the EGR, simply cap it off with the fitting I will supply, and with the Tweecer, select "2" for EGR system type.. I believe its the #2 that shuts the EGR funtions off ( check into that though)
Its very simple.

It shouldn't take too long to install the turbo setup, so I for see it being a problem to swap the stock midpipe and smog stuff back on in time for your bi yearly inspection.
do i completely remove the pump (ie - shorter belt too)?
or do i use a smog delete kit (ie - same belt, pulley in place of the pump)?

i might as well delete the egr, since it will no longer be functional, right?

i can do that stuff now so i'll be ready when the other stuff is done.

John Urist (I believe) is marketing a kit soon which you can retain all the stock accessories and smog equipment.. thats the only kit I know of which the smog pump stays put. You dont need the smog pump to pass emissions here in Ohio.. my 347 before it was s/cd passed with plenty of room to spair. If your making a kit or gettin one I wouldnt consider the pump too much into your decision making, and you will need a shorter belt if you delete it. My guess is a delete bracket/ pulley would sit right in the way of the cold side piping..

Yes, in order to delete it you simply unbolt the pump and associated lines, and pick up a short belt. There are a million people on this site who have deleted it when they went with an offroad H/X pipe and have the belt # offhand, and info on this.. Its very easy.
As for the EGR, you can simply unhook the ribbed metal line from the header to EGR and plug each end with a brass fitting from Lowes, then of course select the scaler for EGR to turn it off.

Cartech's Turbo kit will let you retain all the accessories.. I have the Outlaw kit going on my car.

Well hey, look what popped back up..

I have not had the time to really work on the car, or turbo setup, or engine.. Been busy working on other peoples stuff and am busy right now starting on two 5.0 kits, and possibly a single kit for my 01 GT.
The car does have to run and drive by the end of this year.. so at some point soon, things will start to pick back up and some real progress will be made. Sure will be nice to drive the car again. (it's been down since Dec 04)

yeah, i was just curious how or if anything was happening there. i'm sorry to hear you haven't had time to work on it, but i'm happy to hear that you have alot of business.

so are you happy i "talked" you into doing me a kit? or pissed because now your stuff is so popular that you don't have time for your own projects? anyway, when i get my act together again (probably a couple of years down the road), maybe you will build me another one ...
