Old Wheel Studs? Bad Idea or not?

I just swapped my old 89 8.8 Rearend for a 91 RearEnd with lower Gears in it.

The new rearend didnt have any wheel studs in the axles, so I took the old ones out of my other rearend, and put them in the new one.

Was this a bad move? I friend said I should have installed new wheel studs and also used loc-tite,etc... when I installed them?

Should I take out the used ones and buy new ones and put them in?

I don't see a problem with old wheel studs as long as they look good, but maybe Loctite would be a good idea.

I've reused axle studs several times and never had a problem...
