One of my Opinions

Well, I finally got to ride in and hear my cousins 89 lx 5.0. The car was a 4 cylinder that had a 87 GT motor put in with a Carb settup. He has stock headers with a non-convertor stock H-pipe, and he has some hooker mufflers. I didnt tell him, but I think his car sounds like garbage idling....like a dump truck kinda. This is all with a stock cam. It sounds a little better while going down the road though. What are your opinions?

Yes but you could tell me about other cars you heard with hooker mufflers. He wanted to swap them out and put flowmasters in instead....can you form opinions with that?

I've never heard hooker muffles. For the most part, everyone around here has flowmasters.

Do you guys like your Flowmasters, if so which ones do you have? Or, are there any you would trade your Flowmasters off for?

get one chamber flows if you want it loud... 40 series are pretty common

I have always liked flowmasters, thats the way a mustang should sound IMO.

Ok, that sounds good.....what is it with people saying the flow numbers are bad with Flowmasters? Would it hurt the performance a little?

Well I've never heard those mufflers but I HAVE heard a dump truck before. I didn't approve, now those big brown UPS trucks sound AWSOME at idle.

i have BBK shorty headers, bassani o/r x, and flowmaster 2chamber mufflers, and e-cam....sounds pretty badass!

I have never heard hooker mufflers, throw on some flowmasters or MAC flowpaths

i am one of the few who likes the silent but deadly sound from cars, loud doesn't always = fast . i have dynomax super turbos and i like how they are just loud enough with my setup that people take notice but not loud enough to annoy people (cops mainly)

i have heard hooker mufflers but it was on a guy i knows 69 trans am that runs 9's all motor, so thats not a good comparison
