Well our 8 days of hell are over. We lost power and phone last Thursday night and were trapped up here for a couple of days afterward. Luckily I had a small camping generator that was able to keep the furnace working, but only held enough gas to run 1.6 hours at a pop, so twice a night I was outside in the freezing dark filling it back up to keep the house from freezing. I think I must have burned about 24 gallons of gas through it that was luckily on-hand for the tractors. Also I can't say enough about natural springs for water sources! We finally got the phone back back about noon today (Friday) and the power about an hour later.
