9 hour round trip to get this thing... but I have to say it's clean as hell. Nicer than my black notch :/

Almost done polishing... 9 hours into this job! Trying to save the factory paint on this old notch

man was this thing faded...


Starting to polish, using Meguires (sp?) products




Looking more presentable


Making a mega order from Rockauto and LMR... My god it adds up fast but this will be a solid fox you can take anywhere. Next update, I hope to have the underside all detailed!

yup... but honestly, I am still tempted to get it patched and re-cleared but it can only be original once so I don't want to risk ruining the car.

That first picture looks almost as bad as mine.

I'm going to end up painting; too much damage. I'm curious about the exact procedure and products, plus whether what you did would work for me as a temporary measure. My clear coat is pretty much gone, and rags come up red when wiping it down. (It's a red car.)

BTW, been idly following your updates on Reddit as well. Very cool.

haha thanks... yeah my car left a lot of blue on the rags too. I'll have to check to see what I used, can't remember F all lol
