I may have the ability to buy a 94 GT from a friend at school. HE bought it about two months ago but is not really enjoying the car and woud sell it to me for probably dirt cheap probably $3500. Its a 94 GT Convertible with an AODE and 125,000miles. I figure if I got it for that cheap I could do a complete rebuild on the engine...get rid of the AODE for a t5 and be set. Do you think its worth it guys.

That would be the way to go but make sure the rest of the car is structually sound-brakes,suspension,put it on a lift & check it. You dont want to big of a money pit.

look under the car where the rear control arms bolt to the floor. this spot is called the touque boxes. if they are cracked, the car was probably beat to s**t.

offer him 3k

Depending on the color and condition of paint and body and interior I would probably buy it for $3,000.
