Opinion on CDC Classic Chin Spoiler

I want to get the head light splits so I am kicking around this spoiler and the GT500 knock off....

with so little black trim on the car I was going to paint to match the spoiler...but we will see...it would be cheaper in flat black....LOL

OK, so there is no real lose of clearance but more of a leveling and forward extension of the bumper to make it look aggressive.... that will work.

Even though they extend straight across, it sticks out much further and reduces your ground clearance when you encounter certain entrances/exits of driveways, shopping centers, etc. I'm glad I never wanted to get mine painted as the bottom has taken quite the beating! I even had to drill a new hole for the passenger side inner screw as that tab got broken from abuse:(

kooldog, now your scaring me.... I have a speed bump at the gate into my housing community, a bunch at the park I coach soccer at, and a few around town.... at least my driveway is long and flat....

So which one would give me the least trouble... the GT500 or the Classic??

As long as you know there's a chance you could scrape, just drive slow and try to get as much of an angle as possible. If you do have to drive straight on, driving slowly helps as the spoiler and the bumper have a lot of give:nice: I can put my foot under the center of the spoiler and lift it up at least 2-3" and watch the whole front flex with no problems! I've also pushed it a few inches into a parking curb and after I backed up, there wasn't any noticeable damage...glad mines not painted:D

Don't worry about a chin with a modest drop. I've had the CDC classic spoiler with Eibach pro's for a few years now without problems. You will have to be careful and steep driveways will have to be taken at an angle but it's doable.
