Opinions on price...

Just got off the phone with MC Racing in my area and I wanted your opinions on their prices.

For Gears:

4:10 gear itself $175.00
Geari install $275.00
accessories for install $40.00

Computer re-flashing $575.00
New chip $475.00

(I'm assuming the chip or reflashing includes tuning?)

gear price is normal.

install price might be a bit high, depends on where u are located i guess. i paid 150 for mine.

i don't know about the reflash price. sounds high though.

u can get a super chip custom tune from kenb at modular depot for alot less than either of those 2 options. u can install yourself in about 15 min. unless u are going for a dyno tune or something.

FYI, I paid $175 for the gear intall.

The gear/install prices are in line but the computer re-flash is way out of line if its for the speedo correction. I took my ECM out and sent it to Tim @ T&J performance and he did the re-flash for $109 including return shipping by next day air. Took the ECM out on Monday and it was back in the car on Wednesday. He can also re-flash the timing while he has the ECM and that is another $100 for a total of $199.
