well. all my coolant keeps leaking out of the radiator or a hose somewhere. and i have a bad head gasket. so im going to take the time and redo a whole bunch of stuff... not to mention the car would get hotter than id like it sometimes.

so i figured id redo the whole cooling system. since ive been swapping whole setups one at a time. fuel system, ignition.. its time for cooling.

..
anyways, im leaning toward an electric fan, and undecided on water pump.. if that should be serp, or electric. and i want the best of the best radiator i can buy, lightest and best cooling. polished would be nice too.

i was looking at the GSM radiators, and becool radiators.. anyone tried these? or read articles on them?

and i read about waterpumps in jegs, jegs pump advertises 40% more flow over stock water pumps, so does edelbrock. but i was leaning toward jegs pump because they have a polished one. and id like to get my whole engine bay nice and snazzy lookin someday. (already got a few things lookin good)

so anyways, some suggestions on radiators, electric fans, and water pumps.. electric or belt driven, would be great.. and anything else im forgetting

oh, and im going to redo all the hoses. i think ford had a nice kit for radiator hoses and whatnot.

thanks
derek :nice:

Well I would go with the becool or Fluidyne Radiators...a serpetine driven water pump, and a nice electric fan...with either a 180 or 192 degree thermostat... :nice:

i have heard that BeCool is the best of the best. although i have a Fluidyne but i am going to switch to a BeCool once i get some money together. My setup right now is a Fluidyne Radiator, CSI Water Pump, and 180 stat. keeps it running nice and cool!! i hear that the SN95 electric fans are very nice as well for the fox. also too complete the cooling system check out www.dccontrol.com

Several roughts you can take, different goals and costs.

If your on a budget, you can get a 3 core GoDan "pepboys" radiator with a standard t-stat, junk yard fan (Taurus/SN-95/MarkIV) and a stock w/p and pollish it, along with just standard hoses.
Or if you got a little cash get the BeCool radiator/electric fan combo, then throw on an electric W/P with the temp controller inside the car, and the metal hose kits.
Or just something in the middle. A higher flowing w/p won't nessasarrly cool anybetter because water will be in the engine/radiator for a shorter period of time. My setup works good, sits at 185-190 all year long. My setup is GoDan 3 core, Black Magic Fan, 180*t T-stat, newer but standard W/P, Goodyear hi-miler hoses.

well when i was driving my car. it has hit 220~ish before. i didnt like that
