OT: Can I run my truck without a belt?

I’m trying to fix the compressor pulley on my truck – 89 GMC 3500, 454 Engine – details in this “talk section” thread. The truck is now outside in the rain and I’d like to work on it in the garage.

Will it start without a serpentine belt?

If it will, can I run it for a couple minutes to turn it around and get it into the garage without causing damage?

Yea, you can run it without a belt. If the engine's cold now, you could run it for probably 10 minutes before it got hot enough to damage anything
