damn, i've been out for since friday and never expected to see these many posts over this topic. I GUESS I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD. thanx guys and girls for all your advice. good news is that yesterday i took her shopping, movies and dinner and IN THE STANG. we were having a nice time and over dinner a moment of silence overcame our conversation, so i took that little time frame to mention the STANG(i really need to get a nickname for my car, currently it's FERRARI, but not really digging it) so as soon as i start talking about it, she interupts and says "I know, I've been thinking a lot about it and understand how much you love your car. It's just like me with shopping. I was a little jelous(sp??) cuase you never used to work on it so much, but I can get used to it. You try to be with me as much as possible, so there's not much more I can ask." OMG , I was surprised but kept it cool and all said was "I knew you'd get it one of these days" HELL YEAH, i get to keep both. the whole converstion sounded like a soap and a little corny, but hey, she said it, not me. By the way, I'm 21 and so is she and we've been together for about 3 years, so dumping her was the last thing i wanted. I've had 3 mustangs but didn't have money to mod them and with this one I do, so she wasn't used to it. OK SO THIS POST IS LONG ENOUGH, BUT EVERYTHING CAME OUT GREAT SO WE'LL SEE WHAT ELSE WE CAN FIGHT ABOUT NOW

I had a similiar problem stunner, my old GF would get pissed at the amount of time I spent cleaning, waxing, and pampering my car. She was envious to the nth degree, and I didn't see anything changing her behavior. Then I showed her how to drive it (5spd), I never had another problem outta her. She would insist she take my car to go out with her friends. You could go that route or get a girl that's into stangs, or one that is open-minded about a mans hobby. Just my .02.

Don't you love it when you are away serving your country proudly and some infidel woman tries to put it in your back? It's cool, I guess what goes around comes around. The stangs have been some of the best women I have ever had. I know that sounds sad, but I don't mind it a bit.

Here's the way I am:

A girl has to like me for me.That includes my hobbies, the way I look, the way I dress. She doesn't have to like my friends, but she can't ask me to stop hanging out with my friends-and that INCLUDES female friends.

If she can't do that,then f--k her,I don't need her.That goes for anyone,period.Friends,family,girlfriend,stranger.

My girl not only bought the stang for me but helps with the insurance, parts, and even works on it quite a bit herself! Kind of hard to believe but she is absolutley the most un-self-centered person I have ever met and supports me in every way. My only complaint is that she doesn't do enough for herself, so I try my best to make up for it .
